BMW G20 318d ECU fault replace or repair?
Discussion
Hi all,
My G20 318d (B47D20B) has recently started having some ECU-related problems. I'm trying to decide whether to have the original ECU repaired, look for a replacement or contact the dealer.
While searching for a used replacement, I came across this one listed for just £189.99
mtautoparts.com/partpage/1562-311024-130310030/bmw-3-series-ecu-engine-b47d20b-318d-g20-g21-9888494
Has anyone here replaced the ECU on a G20 318d before? Does a used ECU need to be coded/programmed to the car, and are there any particular numbers I should match before buying one?
Any advice would be appreciated. I have searched for an original new part, and prices are crazy.
Thanks
