G80 M3 Individual Colours: Midnight Amethyst vs Midni Sapph

[RARIN04]

Final Version:

Hi everyone,

I’m in the final stages of specifying a G80 M3 Competition xDrive and would really appreciate advice from owners who have seen these colours in person or have lived with them.

My current shortlist is:

• Midnight Amethyst
• Midnight Sapphire
• Ruby Black

I’ve seen plenty of photos and YouTube videos, but as everyone knows, cameras, lighting and editing can make the same colour look completely different.

For those who have owned or seen these colours in the metal:

• Which would you choose and why?
• How do they look in bright sunshine versus overcast weather?
• Do any become too dark or lose their character?
• Are there any you loved initially but would not choose again?
• If you ordered sight unseen, did the colour live up to expectations?

This will be my first proper performance car at this level and I intend to keep it for several years, so I’d really like to get the colour right first time.

Photos and real-world experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
