Buying quandary. New or used.
Discussion
Just seeing what the PH massive thinks.
Was out looking at a car yesterday and viewed a well specced 18 month old model from a main dealer. As it's a run out model (3 series) there are good discounts on new models in stock but the spec is pretty standard with few optional extras
Finance wise, it's the same deposit, term and monthlies but a significant difference in APR. Adding in the same extras (panroof, 360 cameras, hud, fancy wheels and a few more minor bits)to a new car would make it a factory order and no guarantee they could spec it like the used example as production is winding down and take the price way higher.
So, what would you do. Take the used which is in excellent condition and only 15k miles with the higher spec or new with the entry level spec?

I was thinking new is a no brainer been as deposit and monthlies are the same until the last bit where a factory order would be more expensive.
I think it would depend on how much more expensive. If you want to keep the cost the same I'd go used higher spec, in a few years time you'd have a used car anyway so the only difference would be the spec. I assume the used is still under warranty?
