Genesis GV70

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I would be interested in people's opinions on the GV70. It seems like a really good car and given the cost of running a traditional fuel powered car now maybe a good future option.

Does anyone have any opinions or experience with the car they can share?

I have a GV60 and really like it, however the original promised customer experience never materialised and while they are now getting there it has taken them 4 years. TBH, even with my ICCU unit going (a known problem across all Hyundai Group EVs up to the start of this year) I'd go for another. If you're looking at the EV then the GV70 is larger but I'm not sure there is any more space on the inside, in fact I think with the exception of the boot there may be less. Certainly they are very well made and on the inside very well appointed.

We also own a GV60P but had an eGV70 as a loaner during the GV60’s first scheduled maintenance.

I liked the eGV70 just as much and would recommend it without hesitation!

It is really good to hear that your experiences seem to mirror what I understand about the brand and cars. Maybe time to start looking.

My wife has a GV70, it's a year old soon and has been faultless. It's a lovely car to drive and is actually quite good fun when you switch the virtual gears and fake noise on.

Not helpful to you that my only experience of the GV70 is sitting in one in the showroom, but my GV60 gets delivered on Monday!

There doesn't seem to be much online chat about Genesis generally, including the various FB groups. Mainly comments about the ICCU or experience with trying to use hyundai dealers for servicing.
