A friend is considering to buy a Larini exhaust system for his Countach 5000S.

He has some questions though:
Is it as good as it looks?
Does it sound ok?
Are there better options?

that looks similar to the ansa system they used to fit. most countach's ive seen in the uk have had a carrera sport, sports exhaust fitted. if it's like those it will be NOISY. how much is a larini?

Wim If you decide to Speak to Larini.
Ask for Neil.
He is extremely helpful and a decent chap as well.
Not the same car obviously but I have had a Larini fitted to my Maserati 3200 and I am very happy with the Exhuast.

The Exhaust is quiet at low revs but really opens up midrange (ideal if you have neighbours!)

Give Neil a call at Larini and have a chat.
Worth the phone call IMHO.

The Quality of the exhuast is excellent and I'm very happy with it.

Hope this is of help Wim.
If you need a vid clip of my car, email me.
Obviously its not a Lambo Exhaust but may give you and idea of how the exhuast looks etc.
Perhaps Neil may have a sound clip for your friends car if you email him.

I personally think the exhuast looks better than the standard system that Maserati Make and is better priced than other companies.
The finished product looks great and has enhanced the "aggressive" side of the car.

kind regards

Pete

Ask Mike Pullen at Carrera Sport in Haywards Heath.

He is the first chap I would go to about any Lambo mods.

The Larini including the headers would cost about € 5000,- I think.
He has the Ansa fitted at the moment and it looks almost the same indeed.
Because of the costs my friend decided to keep his Ansa till it breaks and then replace it with the Larini.

I'll second that comment, and know that Carrera Sport exhausts sound awesome and are considerably cheaper than Larini, Tubi, etc!!

I have a Larini on my CSL (E9 not the new way out of my price range M3 CSL) and its fab, not to noisey but builds as the revs rise. On the subject of exhausts I have a Ansa sport on the Merak and thats just noisey all the time, souns very nice as it pops on down changes. Bet the neighbers dont like it as much as I do......
