I can't find much info on this Boost upgrade, is it only for LR and LR AWD models and is standard acceleration on the AWD cut from 3.8s (0-60) to approx 3.3s?

Was only available on certain versions and not always listed. Improved the acceleration but not so much that it truly encroached on the P version, so more like high 3-second 0-60 after the boost

It was only in the LR AWD and not in all markets. Switzerland didn’t have the option for many years, or rather Swiss based accounts didn’t, and I used to have cars switched to my account in the uk, added acceleration boost and transfer them back. It was a nice way to use referral credit.

I’ve had it in both a 3 and a Y, I think on the 3 it was a nice upgrade at the time that took it close to the Performance and pre highland id have said the LR AWD with the boost was the thinking man’s performance, almost identical stats, but cheaper and wheels more suited to our roads. Highland has changed the game now, the performance has other advantages. On pre Highland, the cost of the upgrade is now quite a lot in comparison to the car’s value.

On the Y, you don’t really need it as it’s not a car that rewards being driven harder. I’ve not tried it in a Juniper.

It was available on my 3 LR AWD in the Tesla app. dropped the 0-60 from 4.2 seconds to 3.8 I believe.

When looking at Tesla approved used cars before I bought mine, I found one there that already had it fitted. There wasn't much difference in secondhand price between the two cars.

Thanks for the info guys. The AWD 3.8s to 60 isn't too shabby, would be bonkers with the Boost!

3.8 IS with the boost.

4.2 without - hardly slow, I might add.

I have the 'acceleration upgrade' on my 2021 LR Model 3. They say another 50-100hp - who knows. It certainly feels quick enough.

Sorry, I'm talking about the current Highland edition. 3.8s IS standard, not sure if Boost is available for the Highland but surely it would be just over 3s to 60?

Not available for the Highland, AFAIK. Was only for the original/older version, pre-2022.
