PDR glue recommendations/ samples?
Discussion
Hi I'm currently doing some DIY pulling of some relatively light but annoying damage and have some really flexible clear glue and seems way too pliable to get a good pull, mostly glue staying on the car in one piece - although maybe the cheap tab set/glue etc doesn't help.
Any glue recommends please? Anywhere that does 1 stick samples so maybe I can see how good impression they work for my requirement?
Cause was pulling into drive at an angle a bit tired after the grief of visiting family in care home
My other cars that foul my drive needed to be moved to get this one out, so other car pulled in front of drive but was overhanging our drop curve a little too far leading me to overcompensate the angle - I should have known better
Very slightly sideswipe the wall but enough to leave some dent/swipe marks.
I touched in the paint and tried acid etched so should be no change of rust at least.
Removed PPF for this as it was down on the front edge of the rear wing, replacement PPF seems to be very cheap which I can put back on when I'm reasonably happy.
I'd rather not just fill and paint, so might as well pull out as much as possible regardless how long it takes....
I think I need some darker coloured glue for some of these smallish dents ( even the stuff I've used from Aldi etc has been better in the past), black or blue glue sticks?
This clear is way to flex - even after leaving minutes, heating panel and cleaning everything.

KECO UK Flex Collision sticks are very good, but they are in packs of 10, just watch the size/diameter of your gun, a lot of proper PDR glue sticks are for the bigger 15mm glue guns and the cheap Chinese PDR sets are often the smaller glue guns, 10 or 12mm so the PDR sticks are too wide to fit the cheap kits.
Alternatively Gluegunsdirect.com do sticks filtered on diameter, they are also very good and ive had sample sticks off them in the past so you can get them in a smaller number.
Respectfully, is often not just the glue, you need alcohol spray to degrease first, then a hot air gun to heat the panel to low 20's, then let the glue flash off for 30 seconds, and even then you really only get one pull before it comes off. I can easily get through 50 pulls for a small dent and it's incredibly frustrating at times, don't believe the social media videos.
If it needs painting anyway my default as a bodyshop is simply grind it back and weld the pull tabs, accepting its going to get painted, this is so much quicker and moves the metal much better, meaning less filler, but obviously if you don't need to paint then of course PDR is a great tool to have.
Good luck, you will be fighting the weather this time of year, so lightly heat the panel first.
