How many miles this year
Discussion
For the first year ever I have not been using the bike to commute due to moving to fully WFH about 16 months ago, previously I'd be somewhere around 15-17k a year, occasionally hiting 20-25k.
Just had my MOT done and its clocked in at 4066 miles this year, so a poor showing in some ways, but that is all social, domestic, and pleasure miles which has made an amazingly refreshing change! To celebrate having the MOT done I took a "long" way home rather than the 7 miles between home and the MOT station and ended up clocking in 145 miles already for this coming year already

I don't know exactly how many this year, but I noticed the other day I've passed 20k miles since I got the bike in May '24. The bike had to be repatriated ten days after I bought it and I was over three months without it, so that pretty much is 10k pa. Although I commute year round, the large majority is pleasure miles so I'm pleased at that.
My other bike has managed about 1k miles in the same time, bit embarrassed by that.

I’ll have done about 4k this year, most of which on a single trip.
I’m moving house away from N Manchester / Lancs to the East Yorkshire wolds.
I expect my mileage to increase somewhat as a result as I will be able to literally ride out of the door and be on top biking roads. Currently I don’t go out on the bike for an afternoon simply because round here it’s simply too busy, low speed limits mean an hour stuck in first gear to get to and decent roads, the decent roads are rammed with cars escaping the same, and local roads are extremely dangerous due to people who don’t think the laws apply to them in their uninsured Audis and “rented” supercars running riot; I’m not being left crippled by one of these t
ts when they run me over then run off to be picked up by some random mini cab driver. It’s like the Wild West and I really can’t be arsed riding in it.

I didn't note the mileages at the start of the year but at a rough guess around 6000 on the Kawasaki, withich includes a trip to the Dolomites and a trip to ride the Route des Grande Alpes. I've also done around 2500 on the BMW although it's done more as it wa borrowed by my Australian friend for the Dolomites trip.
