Easynet & BSkyB bid
Discussion
From bbc.co.uk:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4347260.stm
"Shares in broadband internet provider Easynet have risen on hopes that satellite television broadcaster BSkyB will bid for the company.
The speculation follows BSkyB's announcement on Friday that it aims to go on an acquisition spree after raising £1bn ($1.8bn) in a bonds issue.
Easynet confirmed that it had received a bid but refused to name the source.
A takeover of Easynet would help BSkyB move towards broadcasting some of its programmes via the internet."
BSkyB - what a XXXX company. Don't do it Easynet.

Unless the rumours have been deliberately leaked by the bankers acting for the transaction (to push up the price), my experience is that most of these rumours are off the mark. Whoever it is I hope they're serious, the bid is a rich one, and that you make a $hitpile Justin. One word. Skype. 456MGT said:

the sectors been warming up for some predatory consolidation for a while now.. Pipex looked to be the official 'Buy it Now and buy it Quick' firm, but now the bigger guys are getting in on the action.. it can, hopefully, lead to a few more of us being able to focus on new ventures. J
