2018 Connect 1.5 limp mode
Discussion
This happened on Friday. It's been preceded by a few hundred miles of no more than 29mpg, an indication of a problem lurking, although it has felt fine to drive, no oil consumption and no exhaust smoke. The code suggests an intake leak or maf sensor issue. A smoke test showed nothing to be amiss, but it's not foolproof. I've done a visual check and removed the hose that's known to be a problem for a better look, but it's fine.
The maf sensor appears to be a sealed unit, although a vid on YT shows someone apparently cleaning it, so I'll try that. As I understand, it the maf sensors aren't a regular known issue.
The van, since being restarted, has run fine on an admittedly short and local trip. It's only done 62k miles, so I'm hoping to rule out camchain stretch, and would expect to have got a code relating to cam or crank sensor should that be likely. However, the van does sound slightly noisier from cold recently.
Any input gratefully received.
