Hanoi/VN hotel recommendations
Discussion
Hi all,
Hot on the heels of the last trip the pressing need for winter escape has beckoned.
2 weeks in Vietnam booked courtesy of an extremely cheap flight.
February over Tet. Yeah, I know
3 nights Hanoi. Fly to
3 nights Phu Quoc island. Fly to
3 nights Hoi An or surrounds scenic train to
3 nights Hue.,.overnight train to
Back to Hanoi for a night
Pleasantly surprised with the range of decent accommodation, almost too much choice.
Any recommendations please?
Not after Ritz-Carlton level, just comfy, mainly with pool/hot tub/gym and decent brekkie in good locations! Probably £50night ish judging on what I’ve seen, maybe up to £100 a night.
Shoot!

3 nights Hanoi. Aira Hanoi, Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi is a bit out of budget but really nice.
3 nights Phu Quoc island. Mango Bay Eco Resort
3 nights Hoi An -Silk village, easy to reach old part of town- there are BIG resorts on the beach if thats more your thing
3 nights Hue. A friend lives there with a big house so never stayed in a hotel

Looking at this with interest, we will be going to Vietnam in February. We were doing Thailand/Cambodia and Vietnam over 3 weeks, but decided to cut out Cambodia for another time. We've booked flights to Bangkok and hotel for 4 nights. Now looking at fights to South Vietnam and take the train upto Hanoi stopping for 2 weeks on the way up, at different destinations. Just looking at flights back from Hanoi to Madrid, silly prices.
