Sam Lovegrove: Race Mechanic.
Discussion
Quest: 21:00.
This looks really good... Bikes & cars.
One of our favourite 'cleverclogs' has he own programme.
Sam is very engaging, I'm sure that his skills will shine through.
Hopefully no falseness or scripted drama like most of the other shows seem to rely on.
Just want to see a very talented bloke, sharing his knowledge & plying his trade.

I do like him, comes across as laid back but still serious.
Will be good to see him in action without that annoying man Cole who tries to steal every scenes he is in.
Quite agree... Sam & Henry are great mates, but the show with Dom from the repair shop seemed more natural. Will be good to see him in action without that annoying man Cole who tries to steal every scenes he is in.

Agree. The standard format for car shows tends to be an engaging mechanic and a dick of a presenter (Car SOS, Wheeler Dealers, Salvage Hunters etc) Will be good to see him in action without that annoying man Cole who tries to steal every scenes he is in.

I don't think it will be like the 'Smallest Cog'.
More like the Smartest Cog tbh..Nice to see a bit of his family life too... seems to have a good setup.
(And yeah, no grinding Hammond & his crew / chums hamming it up).

I can't say that drew me in at all last night which is disappointing as I usually find Sam engaging to watch. Whereas the Kevin McCloud first episode with the DS did which is the opposite of what I expected!
I almost didn't watch the Kevin McLoud thing after the intro as I thought it might just end up being a random celeb driving round France in a random car looking at cheese and grapes. But as well as the car stuff it had other design focused things which gave the programme a good overall theme. The guy who owned the car had some company didnt he? Looking after millionaires yachts in Monaco. Edited by Richard-390a0 on Tuesday 20th October 09:13
