Growing up watching 80s horror, I was very excited about this series. Seen the first 2 episodes and this is excellent; an origin story of Jason. Great acting, good story (so far) and very much has an 80s vibe to it.

8 episodes in total, all available on Sky Atlantic today.

Just saw the first 2 episodes as well, it's intriguing so far, will see how it plays out.

Decent so far.

Thought it was pretty decent, two things of note though, they somehow seem to have explained that his 'hard to kill' nature is partly scientific rather than supernatural which seems like the opposite of what the origin story should be and also, have they shown us the lab and all the other subjects as they are planning on opening up the Jason Universe?

Mental show. Very funny and like the 80s styling throughout.

Weren't the other subjects dead, well apart from one other who was covered up and shaking violently?

I am kind of glad they made it more scientific than supernatural - the radiation seems plausible but I guess it does break the supernatural element.

Finished the final episode tonight, which was very good and tied everything together.
Quite gruesome in places.

I also immediately watched the original film straight after as my recollection of it had waned, I like how you now have explanation for the opening barn scene as well.
