Eriba Troll renovation - how to fill a hole
Discussion
As part of my renovation of a 1993 Eriba Troll, I have taken out the waste water hose from the kitchen sink and I'm left with a small (approximately 2.5/3cm diameter hole in the floor of the caravan. I want to seal this up and was wondering on the best of doing it. The floor construction of the caravan appears to be plywood with polysytrene foam inbetween.
My initial thought is screwing a small sheet of aluminium underneath the caravan to cover the hole and using some Sika 554 to prevent water ingress. I would paint over the screwheads to rustproof them. After that, on the inside, I would simply fill the hole with some expanding foam, cut level when cured and then cover with suitable vinyl flooring.
Is that ok or is there a better way to do it?
