We have night storage heaters in our holiday let which are old, but have worked well.

We are looking to change them and I have been looking at some of the options.

Lots of suppliers websites claim other options such as panel heaters are cheaper, but I'm not convinced they are correct as they don't provide figures.

Has anyone done this recently and can share their experience.

Ideally, if we are upgrading, something with remote WiFi thermostat would be good.

1kw in =1kw out , newer ones might have better controls to trap the heat for longer

any scope to get a mini split a/c ? theyre more like 1kw in =4kw out and you would have cooling in summer too

Might be difficult as it is a terraced house.

Electric heating is ruinously expensive unless either:
Cheap rate power, which implies storage heaters
Heat pump for decent 'CoP'
or
It's a very small, well insulated place with small heating demands.

A friend has some panel heaters in an old place, it sort of works on night rate power, with the heavy stone walls retaining some heat.
But the log burner does a lot of the real work!

Another friend has a flat rented out with simple electric heating. It's OK because the flat is very easy to heat, bills are a bit high for what it is, but zero maintenance etc etc.
