New Toy!!!

Hi Everyone!

After a brief glimpse at Griffith ownership earlier this year, I've returned from Aus and got my priorities right, I pick up my next Griff on Wednesday!!!!!

I saw it in the classifieds while I was away, and knew it was the one for me!

Just got to wait now to pick it up, gonna be 2 looooooong days!

So whens the next meet?

I've used Peart for the last 3 years seem as good as any. Rich...

Also try TESCO's insurance - seriously - they have a specialist TVR type policy they beat all other quotes for me.

Do a quick search as there's loads on insurance, ClassicLine have been cheapest for me over the last 5 years for limited mileage.

Well, thanks for all the suggestions, ended up going with Peart in the end, everyone else was at least twice as expensive!

Yeh, had it just over 3 wks now and I'm still grinning.

Used to fast toys but not like the Griff with it's monster torque from low revs. It's great not to have to drive around turbo lag anymore.

It was tough parting with my Escort RS after 12 happy years of ownership but I've got no regrets.

Going to carry out a few improvements over the winter and then I'll be able to settle down to learning how to drive it properly next year.

I'm a mechanical engineer so half the fun of ownership is in the stripping and rebuilding so my winter months are just as much fun as the summer.

Planning to do a couple of TVRCC track days next year where I hope to be able to get some help with my driving technique.

Please be careful! Changing from turbo FWD to torquey RWD in the (slippery!) winter is a big change. Most TVR accidents are single vehicle incidents in the first year of ownership.

Yeh, I've experienced that already in the dry and low speed !
