While investigating some sticking buttons on a Mira shower (looks like it was installed too tight on a fractionally uneven surface causing it to warp)

I've found this less than ideal gap around the pipework that looks like a future issue, given I don't want to over tighten it again and trust the existing gasket I'd love some advice on the best course of action please

  • Simply put some sealant on the back of the shower plate?
  • Make a template to fill the gap and seal it in?
  • Some sort of waterproof collar over the hole?

Just use a good quality sealant, as long as the water is kept out of there it will be fine.

Thanks, think I'm being paranoid having had a couple of leaks in the same week.
