My Vauxhall Insignia has red (pink?) antifreeze but the level is low compared to what it should be. I guess it has a very small leak or is natural loss as it's not been topped up for many years.

Anyway I only need less than a litre but the official stuff is like £50 and comes in 5Litres.

I've found this "red" antifreeze on eBay much cheaper. So my stupid question: Can I use any Red or Pink antifreeze in this car with no ill effects? Is that how it works? Simply match the colours?

The car is an old banger so not worried about having the best of the best.

Many thanks

As its just a shed, i would use water upto a liter or so, as it wont dilute that much, just be aware it wont like very cold temps, if not sure drain and refill with any type of coolant.
