Not finished yet… if this is for real it’s a terrible terrible idea…. Allowing people who can’t afford it to bet their money for entertainment…..
Unless the whole thing is a windup and they are acting….. find out soon no doubt!

Just to add, when I set it to record, there was no series link, so I guess it’s a one off?

Sadly, whilst it highlights the pernicious nature of the gambling industry, it'll make no difference.

Without legislation, there will be no change, and people like Denise Coates will continue to pay themselves hundreds of million pounds every year off the backs of the victims of gambling.

Powerful stuff.

I always lose respect for stars, who don’t need the money, star in adverts for gambling.

Ray Winston to name just one.

Is that supposed to make it ok.

Any idea what the cost to the economy of lives and families ruined due to gambling?

I started watching this and was raging 30 minutes later about how a TV show could encourage gambling!
Glad it was a set up to show the dangers of gambling.

Still don’t understand why gambling can be advertised tbh. Imo it’s as damaging as any addiction.

And after all that you will be able to watch The Chase tomorrow, presented by Bradley Walsh and sponsored by Gala Bingo.

I'm so glad he's warned us about the dangers of gambling.

I watched 10mins, thought it was dire and changed channel. I had hopes given Bradley Walsh is a good quiz master.

In the rehab where I worked we treated gambling in exactly same way as any other addiction.

Same ward, same groups, same treatment method.

The TV guide said it had a twist, and after he was playing with his own money, I got suspicious, I doubt that's even legal on a TV game show. The expert who said most of the gambling industry's profits come from 5% of punters outlined the problem. eek

I've got an online account at Coral but only have small bets on a game I'm watching in NFL, football, etc. I know a chap who had a serious addiction to the old fruit machines. You knew he had an issue when his face stayed the same even when he won, a glazed expression. frown

I watched it with my daughter, she’s only 13 but it shocked her in a good way. So I’m pleased, they did the show, although I did get suspicious before the reveal.
