So the discs on my track bike are showing little black marks around the surface of the pad contact area which coincided with the beginnings or brake shudder under hard braking last time out at Calabogie. So clearly there's pad material being deposited on the rotor surface but the question is what's the best way to remove the marks?? Any tips or tricks or simply sand paper and elbow grease?? Would sand blasting work??? Asking for a friend obviously Cheers

Scotch-Brite with alcohol or brake cleaner is the right first thing to try. It is gentle and removes material evenly. Sanding is a bit risky...600 grit min
