Insurance for new car

I am getting a new car I planned on picking it up and adding it to my insurance. But I don't think this I possible with Tesco's there is only an option to change cars. I was going to keep my old car for a 2-3 weeks until I decide what to do with it. Is there any way around this? Thanks

Could you get a temporary policy for the new car until you've made a decision?
