Flies?

as I was walking home this evening, I was thinking to myself...

are flies called flies because they can fly?

or is flying called flying because flies do it?

does anyone know the answer?

tell you what ive mostly been thinking about today. you know when you see great big trucks that have open tops and are piled high with things like sugar beet or whatever. well, what stops all those beet/ scrap metal bits/ whatever that are piled higher than the top level of the truck flying off and killing me? it must happen, but ive never heard of anyone being lethally maimed, or even killed to death by flying beet.

answers please people, i need answers.

also, and this is one ive been thinking about a while, when youre abroad, do the natives still talk in their native tongue when youre not around, or do they just make up sounds and stuff when youre in earshot, then talk english when youve gone? i would swear that chinese isnt really a language.

Its all part of the grand plan, that is the earth hoax. I believe the two of us, and 2sb are the only real people here. Its just a lot of hard work for everyone else, pretending to be part of an entire civilisation.

I think thats why the sin bin exists, when they need time out to discuss something, or one of the androids malfunction, or something.

Don't talk to me about flies. I work in a portacabin and a fox has died under the bloody cabin and impossible to reach.

Managed to swat 16 flies on one day last week.
