msn messenger 7.5 question

i know that you can type a little message as well as your name, and there is the option to display the song your listening to on windows media player.

i have this option ticked and im listening to some music on windows media player, but its not showing up in messenger, does anybody know why this is?

As far I'm aware, it doesn't show on your mahine at all, it is only visible on another users messenger.

An option they have is to listen to what you are listening to.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old fart... I have never got it to work sucessfully! (I use Messenger all day between colleagues at different offices)

i know, i asked my mate and he said he couldnt see it, ive used it before and seen it, just not recently

Yes, there is an option you need to enable in Media Player. Go to Tools -> Plugins, and check that MSN Messenger Music Plugin is enabled. I think you might need to be logged in as admin to enable or have admin rights at least.

Just a thought - have you checked the appropriate option in the MSN Messenger options list?
