hunting at 2000rpm

my bosses 99T 4.5 hunts on a balanced throttle at 2000rpm causing driveline shunt. (My cerb does the same but they all do that). The chimera is ok for about 1000 miles after each service but then returns to its old ways. Please help me further my career by giving me a solution. Thanks. Jes

Lots of them do that Mine does it sometimes, I just change down a gear.

Mine was cured by running without the vac advance connected, been running like it for 4 yrs. It is also known to be weak mixture, but thats a little tricky to try !

Jes, tell him to try a bit of off roading - It seems to work for yours. the down side is can he afford the bodywork repairs?

All mine have behaved in different ways on different days. I stopped worrying about it years ago! (and I quite enjoy the treading on the brake & throttle at the same time trick to stop it stalling )
