Exhausts

What are the various options with exhausts?

I ask because mine is cracked at the welds between the two pipes and the entrance to the silencer box. While, yes, this could be welded back up, the monkey metal that the pipes are made from has seen better days, and it cant be long before it starts turning to lace.

Sadly I can't go to a simple straight thru setup from head to tip because it is for the racer and hence, has to comply to the noise limits of some of the "more restricted" tracks.

The manifolds are also cracked at the collector where TADTS, so I'm looking for a new set there too, is there any benefit in keeping the two banks of cylinders totally separate in their exhaust flow?

Could you not just remove the silencer box and clamp two straight peices of tube in its place....wont make much difference to the noise...

They will still have two y before the block though?
I'm sure your could sqeeze a 3"pipe going to a single inlet double outlet flowmaster 40 or similar and go back to the same configuration taipipes.

Could be, knowing TVR quite probably, but not quite this time...They All Do That Sir...c'mon lad keep up!

As an aside, what colour is your Chim, it looks stonking with the colour coded roof panel, pity the hood can't be the same!

Get yourself to Blueflame. They will go through all the options of pipes, end pipes etc and you can actually watch them make and fit your exhaust.

I have had no issues with BlueFlame at all and as soon as I get some spare dosh, Miss Daisy will be going to them for a present.

Good lads all round and only in Skemersdale.

I had a custom exhaust made one for the Vitara (they hadnt made any for that type of vehicle before) and it cost £250 incl. fitting.

Maybe dearer/cheaper for a TVR - no idea, best bet is give them a call.

I wasn't that impressed when I had a a pair fitted on the Tuscan ..for half and hour!

Retail price for the Tusc was around £650 IIRC.

I have been to them several times, and I am surprised. Then again they do a lot so they will mess up occasionally.

I can recommend them though. Best thing is to speak to them and then make a decision of the vibes you get.

About £400 for the Chim, but not the manifolds, they no longer have the jigs apparently and it's not cost effective to do them as a one off.
Ho hum, no worries, I'll just have to get somethnig special hooked up to some aftermarket jobs!

Oh bugger well thats my plan for my christmas present to myself out of the window.

I will call them as well and see if there is anything doing. If not then it will be the Carbon Can company.
