My cerb runs cats with sports exhausts which sound fantastic, I don't want to change the set-up to standard pipes but wouldn't mide making it a little quieter for the lower speed cruising if thats possible. Somewhere around 2k RPM there is a kind of bass resonance, it does sound good and sets car alarms off, but does get quite wearing after a while.

Was wondering if anyone has ever had a go at improving the interior sound insulation - I just so happen to have a big roll of automotive underlay in the garage so I am going to experiment, not sure if insulating the boot floor and behind the rear seats would help, has anyone ever tried this?

That's self-abuse, you know - depriving yourself of ANY of the Cerb's glorious soundtrack!

Consider yourself admonished...

Have been thinking about doing this myself. Trying to make the car as baby viable as possible so I can hang on to it a bit longer. I was thinking about taking off the door panels and placing some dynamat type stuff in. Was then going to do the floor underlay like you said and then behind the back seats/cubby hole. I also think it will make the car feel more solid.

Keep us posted if it makes any difference

We did something similar to this to try and shut things up a bit, the insulation was applied all along the tunnel on the underside of the car, cut to shape to fit between the chassis rails and so bond directly onto the body. The insulation was approx 1" thick with 2 kinds of foam and thin sheet of lead between the foam and a plastic 'skin' over the top to stop the foam becoming waterlogged.
Cost was about 80 quid / sq metre and we used about a metre and a half

The grand result of all this?

The car sounded a 'little' bit quieter with fewer squeaks and rattles, the big mechanical noises , exhaust etc were barely muted at all

you're probably better off pursuing some kind of active anti-noise through the stereo

My nephew went through a stage where he 'had' to be taken out in the Cerbera in order to fall sleep. I wouldnt mind but he was 31 at the time!

Just kidding, he was 6 months.
