Erm not something I recommend.

Nasty wood chopping accident this morning (it would make a nice comedy scene done with a suitable rubber axe though)........

..... so timmy swings back axe, axe gets snagged in elasticated cloths line, axe swings forewards, tension builds in elasticated line to the point that axe ceases to exert forward/downward motion, axe rebounds at high velocity making contact dead in the centre of timmys forehead...

....timmy keels over backwards with the impact of the axe head combined with the shock. Sits up puts hand to forehard from which blood proceeds to squirt everywhere... quite nasty as I actually put my fingers into the groove the axe has carved in my scull.

Que rapid trip to hospital for emergency plugging and grouting..... am now sitting here with a huge bandage around my head, black eyes (oddly) and a rather persistent concussion induced headache.

Hence I would recommend that Ph readers do not try embeding an axe in there foreheads as I can attest to the fact that it hurts .........

Oh well at least I can work from home :hehe:

I'll see if I can arrange one, hang on it might take a while to dig out my digi camera. It's a proper good bandage though.

Have awarded myself 'Tit of the Week' prize. Fecking washing line I ask you.

Yes, could be career limiting that, not sure I'd consult about risk with someone who makes a habit of trying to trepan themselves with an axe.

OUCH!!!

Did you know your not meant to do that?

I had a similar incident with an axe. I managed to cut the whole end of my finger off with one while cutting down some bushes for my dad.

I tend to leave them alone now.....as a general rule.

Not sure I'd be spending too much time looking at a computer screen if I was concussed...

At least you can see the funny side (not sure I'd have been brave enough to post about it on PH!)
