I don't know whether I like these or not. Half of me says interesting. t'other half says pretentious. What think the massive?

Like the top one - don't like the bottom one. (That was easy).

Prefer the creativity of the bottom one myself, there's plenty in it to look at. Think the arrangement still needs a bit of work to balance up the thin and spindly sections of the tower with the bolder, thicker parts. Try moving/swapping around the top left segment with the coloured glass insulators to balance up the ceramic (?) insulators on the middle right.

Having tried to do something with electricity pylons before I can tell you one thing, hardly anyone will like it - but that's not important as long as you like it that's fine !

One vote each. That's cleared that up then .

You're right about balancing the clunky bits and spindly bits te51cle. Mrs Rusty reckoned the same (hate it when she's right). I reckon you're right about nobody liking pylons either but as you are a fan, here is another gatuitous pylon shot, right up the legs.

This one, I thought had a sort of darkness about it due to the barbed wire. Looks like some fiendish prison tower.

I prefer the bottom one but would like to see the two 'bulkier' shots removed, and also have the shots aligned; the overlapping edges are headache inducing. Not the kind of thing I'd want on my wall, but a striking gallery shot.

3 is a POW camp.

I like pylons ... and substations. Pole mounted transformers are my favourite though
All comes from spending time working at Yorkshire Electricity and being taken on a tour of the local network. It was actually quite impressive (no really, it was, honest !).

Got any more pics ?

Thanks for the feedback guys and gals. I shall have a play with the montage one. In the meantime, especially for Mrs Blue and any other pylon spotters not brave enough to step forward...

I bet you've got a video of that drama about a gang of pylon painters...?

And now, a pome:

Mary had a little lamb
She tied it to a pylon
Ten thousand volts shot up its a*se
And turned its wool to nylon
