Rubber windscreen gasket

Has anyone else had there windscreen rubber gasket work loose along the lower edge whilst hypothetically travelling at 150mph?

I take it a clear silicon sealant is all that's used to put them back in? Mine seems to have some excess as well. If pushed back in (without sealant), there is about an inch of excess bulging up!

Sensible replies please!!
