took my car in at the weekend to have the diff bushes done and a checkover for a warranty. was told by blacpool it was diff bushes knocking, nope engine mount shot. warranty check is very comprehensive and found a lot of little faults, bushes, balljoints, perished gaitors, timing chain adjustments, all things that need adressing and will have to be done. so this really does seem like a good solution to the worries of owning a speed six, with the warranty in place, all the little bits fixed, ill have a sotrted tusc with no worries about impending failiures from any part of the car. ill update this when i get car back.

All of that should have been addressed in your last service.

the dealer did say that. i bought the car a couple of thousand miles ago, 1000 after rebuild. the car went to factory for rebuild at 12,000, so presumed a service would have hapened when that was done, back to factory for a thousand mile service a couple of months ago only problem they said then was rear diff bushes. but couldnt fit me in for it as they were shutting service. having all the bits done so i will let you know about costs when done. no doubt i will be a bit lighter in the pocket.

Service=fixed price

Customer paying for check for warranty=customer *will* pay for all niggles to get the warranty they want

I thought this may be the likely scenario. I know when I took my Tuscan to the dealer to sort some 'niggles' I ended up with a £4000 quote.
