To try and balance out the junk food and booze I've survived on the past decade I've started having one or two of these a week as part of my new 'healthy' lifestyle. But my god do they taste awful!

The one I just bought has 18 strawberries, 18 grapes, 1 orange, 1 apple and 1 banana fit into a 500 ml bottle. It's as thick as paint and trying to drink it is taking over an hour!

Anyone else drink these? Are there any which are good for you but don't make you feel like puking?

p.s. The new V8 advert is superb

I have a smoothy maker. Spot on gadget, I love it. A bananna, orange or whatever and some ice cream and a bit of milk and a quick whiz = a nice smoothy for less than 50p

Can't wait for the straight six version, the breakdown may be a bit more regular, but....

I just spent two quid on this one!
Could have bought some fags for that much

18 of those and you could have bought a smoothy maker.

Make your own ffs you lazy git! 1 banana, handful of berries (you can get bags of frozen mixed berries at your local emporium) and some orange juice. Bang them in the blender and Bob's your mother's brother. And you don't need one of those dedicated smoothy machines either. They're just chromed blenders by any other name.

A proper smoothy has nothing but crushed whole fruit. I always avoid bananas, I find anything with them tastes just of bananas rather than anything else. My favourites? Mandarins, grapes and mango. Strawberries, raspberries and grapes.

Bio yoghurt and a mashed litre of fruit? You must need a license for that?! DO you have prunes on your all-bran as well?

I love smoothies, when I was in HK they were part of the breakfast.

I dont know if it was a placebo effect but I felt sooo much better having them for breakfast rather than my 1/2 packet of custard creams and a cup of tea at 10am.

I have no idea what fruit they used but it was a pale yellow/orange colour.

Claire - off to eBay to look for a smoothie maker

Innocent smoothies are ok but they are a bit rough. P&J smoothies however are godly...
