Just been watching a bit of the lord mayors show before i went out, and saw amongst the floats and marching bands the tvr club was there with a prossesion of cars, amongst the cars was that bloke from boys own shane lynch who now is trying his hand as a racing driver for the eclipse racing team with there tuscans, and telling the interviewer phillipa forester how the team are going to enter le-mans in about three years time.As the tvrs went past the next floats were appearing, and in amongst them was another tvr either a 390 or 420 se, a bit strange i thought then i saw it was all hands on deck as about four marshalls were pushing it along the road to a safe spot to which the tv commentater commented this is very embarrassing for the tvr car club

Didn't see it, but my mother told me she'd seen a yellow TVR being pushed in the Show (I doubted her ability to identify a TVR, but unfortunately it seems she was right). And just when I'd been crowing about the TVR vs Porsche victory too.

Whoever entered it, they might have made sure it could finish the course without conking out.

Whoever the unfortunate owner was I feel for you.

Critics should remember that this poor sole made the effort to enter, representing the TVRCC and TVR cars.

Good on you, hope your car is alright.

Best get your mum to turn the colour contrast down on her TV because it wasn't yellow, I believe the arty technical term for it is "Champagne". A sort of silvery/pearlescent colour. Definately a big Wedge though (390/420/450 type).

Thought it looked like a 400, not sure though as I was not paying much attention after the others had gone by.
Loads of Morris Minors though.
The other thing is I didn't realise how many guilds (if thats the right word) that seem to be purely London based or originated. Or do I need to get out more?

I was out yesterday and only just got to see it on Video this morning.

Appears to be something like a 420 (H reg).

Actually she's 81 and recvovering from her second cataract operation. She did pretty well to see it at all. But heck, you weren't to know that.

I notice the owner of this TVR is very quiet about this... I expect he (or she) is a gasser & has seen this thread!

Impressed she knows her cars!!!!

I only said it to add my usual humour but also so people didn't think it was a yellow one and start thinking who's "ol'yella" it was. The "champagne" coloured ones are more distinct and could be easier to guess who's it was.

No worries 4WD. As they say in OZ. Dammit, must find some work and stop watching Neighbours...
