start problem

hi all,got a small problem starting my car,its happened about 4 times through the summer she always starts from cold so it must be a hot start problem.when out on a run and stop for petrol or a pint etc.when i return turn the key and nothing happens at first i thought it must be the immobaliser and after a few tries with the fob the car starts but the last time it happenedi could hear the pump prime so i think it must be a hot start problem rather than alarm.as soon as i get time il check the usual ie batt terminals starter terminals fuse silver relay,the problem is that i wont know if ive cured it until it never happens again.as im off to france in 2 weeks time i need to cover as many thing as possible so if anyone has any suggestions i will be extremely grateful cheers alan

Do a search in the Griff or Chim forums using Hot start!

Bet you'll get a few threads to read.

thanks for reply big al searched forums and seems ive got the usual hot start problem with the wiring,il get in touch with david beer and get one of his kits

Hi

Had the hot start problem for the first time a few weeks back and fitted Davids kit, very easy to fit as long as you fit the ground wire correctly

Highly recommended.

If anything it focusses the mind and stops you parking on double yellows. You don't know how long you might be there. Learnt the hard way last week!
