Thinking of selling my 996

Been looking at various motors recently. Quite fancy a change. Maybe a TVR or something a bit more 'hardcore'. Anyone have any opinions on TVR's or other suitable aternatives?

I'd suggest you buy a proper car - by which I mean a Ferrari, naturally, although I very much doubt you'd ever aspire to such a car.

If you're thinking TVR, buy a higher mileage Griff or Chim. In fact, if you can find a clean, 40k mile, one owner Griff 500 you'll be laughing.

Alternatively, think Noble M12 GTO 3(R), Ultima GTR, 993 RS, 996 GT3, depends what you fancy and how you're going to use it, right?

Hardcore - go for a Caterham 7 SuperlightR and if you can afford it a cheap runaround for the days you dont feel so brave.

Dont use my porsche as a commuter so comfort etc not so much an issue as was.

If it's any help, we have come from a Boxster via a BMW M3 to a new Tamora. We have owned it for roughly a month (completing 1,600 miles) and we are delighted with the experience.

Yes it had to have some warranty work done in addition to the 1K Service, but the car was turned around within the allocated 2 days (2 days as they set the tappets when the car is cold).

On our experience to date we would recommend a TVR and plan to have another one in 18 -24 mths time (Approx 30K miles).
