screen vents

How do you remove the black plastic trims that fit into top of the dash at the base of the screen?
Also can anyone recommend a product to treat the top vinyl parts of the dash. It seems a little dull and faded to me.
Ive used H**fords vinyl treatment but it's not done much (works well on the rear screen though!)

Get the alloy ones from Leven - look great and come in a nice presentation box (xmas pressie from the wife)

To remove the plastic ones just pull them out by hand very carefully being careful not to take the vinyl with then. Mine were only lightly glued in place so an easy job.

Might replace. At the moment I just want to take them out as they are full ouf muck from the tumble drier.
How? Cos I left it in the garage with the roof down for a few weeks. Cant get the vac onto them!

How about this for a top tip?

Gaffer tape a short section of hosepipe or similar to the end of the vacuum... Hey presto your very own vacuum probe (ooer)

They just prise out, quite easily really as I discovered when I fitted Leven ones.

Of course, getting the Leven ones in and properly seated (like what TVR probably never did), is another matter
