So I'm stuck in traffic in Stanmore, London, which is hardly a poor area (people leave their Enzo's on the street and I'm not kidding) with a lady in the car and I'm wearing penguin suit for formal do etc... evening time.... and whack!
Didn't bat an eyelid at the time in fact (played it cool for the bird) but in reality there was nothing I could do as bird in the car and me in tux... Now though, thinking about it makes me MAD... has happened before in Finchley in a mates 355 Spider.

What are you supposed to do in this situation.(was too dark to see where it came from)?
Roll on economic segregation I say... can't even be proud of having a half decent car.

It hit on the left side front wing. Must say it was a good throw as it got yolk all over the windscreen.

The 997 GT3 is STILL going to be YELLOW..... just to rub it in these tossers faces.

If it's any consolation, i've been spat on (well, the car has) at traffic lights, first thing in the morning, by builders in the transit pickup next to me. For what?
Welcome to 21st century, Labour led, Britain.

p.s. do you ever watch "Wife Swap" on the telly? That's usually got some enlightening features about sponging scum who don't like to work for a living...

what colour is your car??

My silver c2 got the usual sneers and no-one would let me out in traffic.

But the Yellow Gt3 gets much more positive attention.

other road users seem to love it.

Had a couple of lads in a van stop at lights and shout "nice motor mate".... so i guess there are gooduns around.

Kids used to play football with my wifes Mazda 323 until i picked up the ball and asked their parents to collect it... (that was a long night - almost managed to deal with world peace)....ended up a stand off with the police, 4 sets of parents, one ball and a stressed out wife...

Had £800 worth of damage done to my BMW overnight when it was parked on my property... bizarre, looked like a visitor to my neighboor probably pissed reversed off their drive onto my land and parked it on my car, then drove off and ..... nothing, Got night vision cameras now...

Years ago I was in the right hand lane of dual carriageway creeping to a junction in a MX-5. A well kept turbo MX-5 mind but just a "lowly" MX-5 for Gods' sake...Some lads in the left hand lane start hurling a bit of abuse and rather imaginatively tossed a mostly drunk carton of cinema pop into the car (roof is down). They're only young lads and I'm naturally angry and about to consider getting carried away when they, due to all being far too busy dispensing the abuse, drive into the van stationary in front of them. I couldn't have wished for better and they got their pop back too...

That's the way it goes... Fine line between, as suggested, having a laugh and taking the pi** though.

Still better an egg than a brick...;-)

Had to park the 993 on the road outside my house one night and woke up to it saying 'stupid c**t' in the dirt across the back window. If it had said 'clean me' etc would have laughed it off, but got quite upset by that.

Why do idiots with two braincells bouncing off each other feel they can stick their grubby mitts on the car I have slaved for years to afford?

There is no excuse for throwing anything at a car for any reason and certainly not "having a laugh".

Cnuts. Glad it was just an egg.

The tw*t was just signing his name on your car. He should have known it wasn't his property as it didn't have a cruddy bodykit and bean can exhaust on it.

Since we're swapping stories. I recently had a teenage Chav type shout "tosser" at me as I drove past in my 993. I guess he didn't see the irony of the situation. I was driving down the road that represented the realisation of a boyhood dream. He was waiting for a bus.

Serious question - doesn't egg damage the paintwork?

I had a good one today actually. I was sitting at the lights with a scooby behind me. I look in my mirror and he's taking pitcures of my fat arse (car's).

On a negative side I've had an egg thrown at my old 964, someone jump on my bonnet and most recently an air traffic controller state that it's 'just because I drive a porsche'. Well, that blew my top and once I had unleased a four letter trail of abuse I was ready to fight it to the death. He returned to his tower.

Yes if you leave it to dry. Might be OK if you have diamondbright / super guard or some other paint protector on.

Same with bird sh*t, that will mark if left to dry and your paint doesn't have adaqute protection and/or wax.

It is very very sad. Shortly after picking up the Boxster last year we were driving on a road narrowed by cars parked in the right hand lane. The person coming the other way originally waited in his beat up old escort.

Then he decided it would be far better to drive at me out of spite. Another person I know sold his Ferrari as he kept being spat at.

The experience of owning the TVR is quite different. People let you out of junctions and shout nice car.
