Phone customer services and tell them you want to cancel. They'll probably do the desperation act to try and keep you, unless you spend a pittance with them. Shouldn't take long.

just ring them up. Do check though, that you haven't accepted any small credits off them during the last twelve months; even a small gratuity (like I accepted) apparently ties you in for a further year. Sometimes this isn't made clear when speaking to the customer services. It should be but isn't always.

I've never had any problems cancelling over the phone. They usually send a written confirmation though.

if you are convinced it was not made clear push it back to them explain nothing was said, nothing explained, and ask to speak to manager. keep pushing hard and get them to prove to you they told you it would extend the contract.

they might have a recording, which if you make enough noise they can make available for you to listen to as well, this will take a lot of time of course, but then if you are not paying them much and you kick enough they will let you go and explain of course this is not normal practise which it isnt most people roll over too easily

Funnily enough before sitting down at my PC, I phone Vodaphone to cancel, you just call the customer service number.

I was pissed off at paying £25 pcm plus VAT and I hardly use the thing and always have free minutes left over......

that asked me why I wanted to cancel, I explained, they offered me a discounted rate at £10pcm....

So having saved £180 a year with a 2 min phone call I'm quite pleased with myself.

If you want to take your number to a new network, they'll charge you a £15 'admin fee'

Yeah. Been there unfortunately. I'm past the third letter now having been constantly referred to the Customer Service manager whose number is 'the same' as the general 0870 number.
I agree, these large companies obviously want to discourage you from retaliating, but I won't lay down. I'll drive to Swindon/Slough/Shithole/Wherever if I have to.

not with the company with the name maining a chemical element. although they want a letter from you to say you want it done, again though kick enough and bully on the phone, then all will be ok, they are the provider of the service you are the customer customer is always right and all that.

where in the documentation with them does it say they will charge to provide a pac code, worth getting them to prove this to you when you signed contract if they cant then ask why they do when competition dont, keep going visit the shop saturdays are good days, when they are busy make some noise and keep the person busy when they ask if you mind waiting while they just serve this person say you do mind stand in way and become a general nuisance amazing how fast service can be
