London TVR Party

Big opening celebrates bold new venture in London

London's new TVR dealer laid on a spectacular party last night to celebrate its opening. The new centre in Kings Cross played host to hundreds of people all keen to see what London TVR can bring to the market.

Factory support ensured plenty of cars on show including a prototype Typhon. Owner of TVR Nicolai Smolenski and TVR's MD David Oxley were also present.

The new team have set up a large servicing facility in the Kings Cross property as well as a small showroom. Their new showrooms in Mayfair and Canary Wharf are expected to secure the bulk of sales when they open in the next 4-6 weeks.

London TVR have also built up a large stock of parts and aim for that to be a healthy part of the business as well as supporting rapid turnaround of servicing work.

It is a fabulous engine that has raced for several years in the Tuscan Challenge cars and powered the Cerbera, one of the all-time classic TVRs. Rich...

According to the "A" in AJP, it made the most torque for a normally aspirated engine given its capacity (ie per cc).. ever!

Its also rather light and compact.

Agree. Looks like a warehouse.

The main area of the paryt was held in what is the service area, hence it looking like a warehouse with a few drapes to hide the oily bits that night.
The pic with the orange tusc is the small showroom they have ther, still being finished off by the looks of it last night.

My Tam is currently with London TVR for wheel refurbishment, a properly aligned glove box (at last!!!) and a battery check. Geoff and Sam have been very professional and even attended my office to collect my car. Sadly I couldn't make the party last night but I must say that I am so far very happy with London TVR. It looks like they are concentrating on quality and decent customer service. Hope to get my Tam back next week and will let you know how things are then! Anyway, here's wishing London TVR every success.

What player do I need to play this file? I'm trying to run it on my works PC with Real and Win Media but no joy. Also, who are Nicole and Mia in my pics?

You need Apple Quicktime - free from Apples website

Plus a screen that rotates through 90 degrees
