LOL. There are always people who want to work there but it can be a "difficult" place to work.

Luckily/unluckily Dad only has a few years left there and Mum will probably be out the door right behind him.

I'd say it depends what you want to do for them.

From what I can tell, unless your sirname is Wheeler, or you have a great inherreted fortune, working for TVR may well proclude you from ever owning one.

Your choice.

by eck, it's the best company that I've ever
worked at... we buy in ordinary materials
like glass fibre and steel and produce
miracles like : wedges, seacs, griffs, chimps,
cerbs, tuscans road & race, tamps etc..
eeh - makes the glad eh..

Gaffer, to your dad, too. When your parents retire, I reckon they would bbe joint candidates for a PH special award (given by Ted at the PH Oscars). I'll vote for the whole family!!

From speaking to a few people at the factory, workers welfare is not high on the list of priorities at TVR.

I know its a sign of the times, but I believe many are are on short term contracts, even when they've been there all their working lives.

I also heard of one worker who was after 10 years offered £6 per day sick leave after requiring an urgent operation.

No wonder the guys (and gals) that build the cars can't be bothered to build them right!

I've long maintained that a stretched Chimp with 4 seats would have been a great seller. But that would mean reacting to public demand... ...TVR usually do the opposite.

lol. its funny how all you TVR owners slag off TVR so much. sorta starting to put me off getting one

maybe we should all get together, make a big list of things for TVR to make and do, ie the 4 seater, decent website n quality, then send it to tvr with all our signatures. maybe, just maybe they will do something.

Stags son,

I work about 2-3 saturdays a month on the machines doing mechanics.

I will hopefully be starting my apprenticeship at the garage next year once I have left school...Horray

I know the pay wont be marvellouse but I enjoy working on the cars and down at the garage.

I got the Job down their due to myself doing two weeks work experience thanks to my dad.

*BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE*

I want to move on from mechanics once my apprenticeship has finished, to do something else with TVR's.

It could be TVR Power or one of the other 2 dealers in that area. I know Dad was loading up the transporter this afternoon with a load of cars on it - not sure where they were heading to though.
