i have been looking forward to a battered sausage and chips all day and i am starving, but i have just had a call from my friend who has very kindly gone to get it from our local chippy:

"they dont do battered sausages!" :yikes:

what kind of chip shop doesnt do battered sausages?! it is an outrage of the highest order!

what is happening to this country if i cant get a bog standard battered sausage and chips without having to walk for more than 15 minutes to get it!

Because it's desperatly bad for you? Why don't you walk the 15 minutes, get to the chippy, realise what you're about to do to your body, and walk home to a good home cooked meal. Much nicer too.

I bet that's one of those poncy southern fishcakes though.

Now a fishcake like you get around here-THAT's what you need

Health Freaks.

The man is entitled to a battered sausage if he want’s one.
No battered sausages in a chippie! Outrages. Take your custom to another establishment.

Did he also say "they only do service washes"?

If so, tell him to go next door.

Sometimes your soul 'needs' something really bad for you

Change your chippy

you should try the local 'delicacy' round these parts.
'Scallops'. A big slice of a big potato dipped in batter and deep fried. It's about 99.99% fat and comes with an appointment with a cardiologist. Just what you need on a rainy day.
Oh look..it's raining

I mis-read it Mr. Pendant.

Now back to my fillet steak in crushed pepper cream and brandy sauce, steamed veg and traditional crispy roast potatoes.

But that's

A)Complicated

2)Got fish in it. We po' white trash can't afford flash grub like that when the tarpaulin over yer 'ole in'th road needs patchin'.

Z)Not compliant with the 'famous' planetdave dietary requirements.

Just off to throw another whippet on'th fire

What a frightening thread and on Trafalgar day of all days.

The poor bloke was not able to get his preferred choice at purveyors of the nation’s favourite food and all he gets in the way of consolation is some wise cracking bloody food Nazi! Shameful reading

This country wasn’t built on wheat grass and lentils so if a bloke wants a battered sausage from a fish and chip shop it should be mandatory that he gets one. Pure aloe juice is right out

I suggest a Holland & Barrat resistance front is formed forthwith to rid this country of pro-biotics and god knows what other bunkum they flog and get this country back to eating the sort of tucker that wins wars.

If you were just being sent into battle what would rather have inside of you? A battered sausage or a bloody kumquat?
