Having a purge on an S2 Exige

since buying my S2 only a few weeks ago i noticed that there is a pump noise just behind your ear as you are driving in further investigation there is a purge solinoid on top of the carbon canister behind the drivers seat in the engine bay such a small annoyance i know but does anybody have any quick remedy to silence the small woodpecker?

Wrap around some sound insulation.
You could resite it by changing hose lengths, but warranty would be voided(the car would tattle on you at the next service ECU dump).
