OK.
My one job, of replacing the springs to set the car straight, is driving me made and breaking the bank.
Mainly 'cos I want the car back on the road, and I know that I am starting to rush things, short of getting two cars i don't think there is any way round this!!!

Any way I have seen the post on RT racings chassis work and think it is excellent value for money considering the work I am doing and achieving a sub standard result.

The car needs a tune up it is running rich and idling at around 1200. apart from that the engine seems sweet (oil leaks aside). Is there somewhere in east Sussex that do engine tunes.

Does anyone have a second hand power steering pump? Mine has gone.

Tvr car parts cannot get hold of the rubbers that go between the springs and the lower arm of the front suspension. I don't think they are vital but everything looks nice and new now except the rubbers. Any ideas?

Also I am trying to track down Russel from Denton in Sussex who I know bought a Red Wedge just before me. get in touch if you are reading this would be good to know how you are getting on.

I got front spring seats for mine from RT a couple of years ago, seemed to have plenty then......

Worth checking if they're Cortina ones.
If so, any off Corty Mk3 to 5 should fit.
They all had the same front subframe and suspension.

How could i tell if it is cortina? It is definately ford! Would a pic help!

I have the Haynes for all the Cortinas, but I think it's 99% certain they're Corty wishbones.

Whether TVR chose to use the matching rubber spring seat thingies is another matter of course.

You got no chance! I emailed every TVR related parts company and dealer, then tried the same with Ford specialists, I think I finally got the last new pair in the world from Portugal!!

Did you find out the Ford part number? There's a place that managed to get me the special washers on the front susp' leading link that might be able to help. Is there any other Ford stuff that's getting hard to get now?

The power steering pump is the rover one off a triumph TR7 or rover SD1, all the rubber spring seats do is shut up a bit of suspension noise, Try subsitutng some appropiately sized silicon hose split lengthways and then tie-wrapped on
