Just brought some 18" spiders and need some advice on tyre size.
Was thinking about 225.35.18 for front and 245.40.18 for the rears.
Got this information from a seach but there seem to be so many variations used......

Anyone have any recomendations and how will the different options effect the way she drives.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply satman

still looking to find out the difference in the ride with the different wheel size options

i.e just noticed have 235.40.17 on the front at the moment
how with the drive be affected going to 225.35.18

and with the rear the difference between 245 and 255
and also going from 40 profile to 35

If it's the speedo reading you're worried about when changing wheel size and tyre profile then here's a link to a tyre calculator site!

Dave

Interesting link....going from 16" to 18" will show 5 mph difference at 6o

No i was looking more for the handling differences.

I would assume 255 on rear would be better for traction....but how does the width affect the cornering on the front

and does the profile affect the handling
