Bloody car...

No sooner do I fix one thing than something else breaks.
Today I was out playing with the injection again, which involved parking in a local industrial estate and revving the nuts off the car. I noticed some coolant leaking and put it down to a hose that had split when I moved the coolant expansion bottle to retrieve a lost screw.
So I cut the hose short and reconnected it, but when the coolant pressure came back up it was actually leaking from a pinprick hole in the expansion tank.

That's the second time; so bollux to it, I'm going to fit an alloy one. Off to Ebay...

I am proud of driving a 90 Esprit because I don't know if I can start it up in the morning or not, always pay attention to the garage floor, oil or coolent sometimes even surgent hose. I suffered 15 years with my 90 SE, worst of all I brought a V8 2 years ago.
A car that keep you busy, keep you away from your friends and family.
Enjoy it...

When I worked for Bell and Colvill in Surrey the accepted Lotus acronym was 'Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious' Saying that we did have a customer who had an early Esprit and he clocked up 150,000 miles in it with very few problems.
