Tuscan to Cerbera - anyone done it?
Discussion
I've had my Tuscan for over a year now and I'm thinking of changing.
Lots of time spent browsing the adverts here and on Autotrader produces a list of 911 GT3, Noble or Ultima or another TVR.
A combination of looks and lower price means that it is likely to be another TVR, and the other S6 cars are not hugely different to the Tuscan, so I am being drawn to a Cerbera, probably a late model 4.5.
Has anyone done this and got any opinions they would like to share?
Anyone want to do a swap? :D

hi i have a cerb 4.5 which ive had for a few years now sent it back to the uk about 6 months for a red rose and full engine rebuild plus other mods i have also bought a t350t which was one of the origonal press cars
so it has a 4ltr unit s6 i like the 350 handling but it lacks the power of the v8 i find the acceleration of the cerb 0-150 mind blowing i live in tenerife and a few of my mates have very quike car cars m3/355/996/etc the only car that can matched me up the motorway is is a new v10 lambo but was no quicker until we ran ino traffic at about 150/160 topend it may of been got done in the uk in my cerb in summer at 173.96 so now banned in the uk went to goodwood this year in a sgarris with dom from tvr power and my mate drove my cerb ,the cerb was just so much quicker get one bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!! john

I'm thinking of changing from cerb to tusc, but unsure as to whether i'll miss the anger of the 8 & whether it'll cope with track use!
Fancy a temp swap to see how we get on

www.carboncan.co.uk/ as recommended by most.
Not sure re trackday noise levels with them, but it is only a 5 minute job to remove and refit the old ones.

Thats interesting, does the carbon can really make a difference to the noise, & if so, what sort of changes might we be looking at, does it increase volume as well as changing the note?

Cirvy, Did you see the silver Tuscan at the Oulton park TVR trackday he seemed to be tramming on a little, maybe worth talking to him if you can find out who he was.(I think there was only one in our group!!!)
I had a ding dong with a silver Tuscan in my group & we were very closely matched, first time thats happened though! Have to say, it went well, & from what i can gather it was not an 'S', & was pretty much standard!
You know what its like, coming up to 4 years of ownership & you just sometimes yearn for a bit of a change
Still love the Cerb though & would quite like to get another track day season out of it yet, after all, i still need to learn how to keep up with you

Whats the best way of getting the Tusc to sound mean whilst still getting through noise limits at track events?
Hi Simon how's things?
I guess this is of particular importance to you knowing the fun you had with the noise guy at Donington earlier this year when you so kindly gave me a lift round!!
You'll have to take us for a spin in the Tuscan if you get one as well
Paul.

Things OK, cheers for asking.
You're quite right about the noise issue, the problem is of course, you want it nice & rorty for your Sunday morning blat, but then to be thrown off a track-day when you've paid your money, & been looking forward to it all week, is just so infuriating
