Anyone else watch this? I love it, have downloaded every single episode and am buying the box sets as they come out too (for the extras).

Then i watch through the entire run all 100+ episodes at a rate of about 2 a day :).

Most memorable bits:

"You're killing independant George!" (Occasionally see that cropping up in my life ;))

and

"Is anyone here a Marine Biologist?!" hahahahaha

Very clever show, can't imagine how much hard work it must be to write.

I remember watching it relgiously as a kid, catch the occasional episode on Paramount too. It was a quality program - remember both the moments you mention, and they go alongside the Soup Nazi and Bizarro World.

Quality programming - could definitely do with more of that.

(Incidentally, if you've got digital, on More4 there's a new sitcom with Larry David, the producer of and bit-part actor in Seinfeld. Haven't actually watched it, but might be worth a peek seeing as you're such a fan.)

I love Seinfeld, Larry David is basically the real life 'George' and his own show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' is sort of along the lines of George, ie getting himself into a hole and keeps digging. Its more like 'the Office' than 'Seinfeld' in that most of the laughs are almost cringe worthy, it's hard to watch sometimes. Not as slick as Seinfeld but definately worth a look to see if you like it.

Some Seinfeld cynics hate Kramer but I love him, he's got a good philosophy (though perhaps you'd get annoyed with him taking your stuff all the time..)

Elaine is.. fun, would be good as a friend, definitely don't fancy her though (those dresses don't help, did people really dress like that? I'm too young to remember)

Jerry is classic, chilled, unstressed, able to laugh at himself.. my personal mentor/idol!

George is the opposite (and probably what I'll end up like! ) bitter, full of rage, but so funny because of it.

I watched Curb Your Enthusiasm last night for the first time, being a big Seinfeld fan, but didn't really get into it. I guess it may be a grower.

bbc 4 a lot. bbc 2 less so, late night. check the radio times. other tv listings magazines are available.

also, usually budied up with arrested development which is also genius.

I've downloaded Curb Your Enthusiasm too..

Quite amusing, quite different to any other show. Sometimes a bit hit and miss (some I enjoyed some I didn't).

I've always steered clear of this. I generally find American sitcoms unamusing - Too many cheesy one-liners followed by over the top canned laughter.

Maybe I am being unfair, but I can't stand Friends, Cheers, Will and Grace, and whatever else seems to fill Channel 4's schedule, and have yet to find one that I can watch.

I can't stand any of them either, Seinfeld, I can though.
