Hot Start Problem!!!!!

Can anyone let me know of the symptons of the hot start problem. I stoppped at a garage yesterday got back into the car, and guess what, no start. Fuel pump didnt even prime. Left it few mins and then no problem. Im not sure if its the starter motor problem or some how linked to the alarm immbobiliser. Any help or advice please..
