Have problem selecting 1st or 2nd from cold have to put in 5th then 1st otherwise its a 2 handed job.Now i have changed the seals in the master cyl and bled it also found that the pedal box had split on clutch side which ive rewelded, now bar the clutch arm being bent only slave cyl left as i have no leaks.does anyone know part no for seals or what its off because its p-----g me off as its ok when warm but not right.

Do you have an LT77 or T5?

The only reason I ask is because I have the early Rover box (LT77S rev’ left and forward) in mine and had a similar problem. When the box was out this year I figured out why and it was because the baulk plate was not aligned correctly. In fact it would not adjust correctly and needed to be ground down a little before it worked.

This is the plate that acts as the rev’ gate. The lever was hitting it too early and not aligning with the selectors correctly, hence making it hard to select 1st and 2nd. Strangely it would improve once warm, never figured out why that was but now I have no problems.

Just a thought.

No mine is the t5 as you try to put it in 1st it will creep everso lightly thats why i think its only the slave cyl do you know if this is tvr only thanks.

Ah I see.

I dunno what the slave is then but probably worth taking it out and checking it against a LR one.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean?

If you are looking for the slave cylinder seals then i'm sure TVR Gear will be able to supply you with them.
