Just in case anyone else is as daft as me.
My Chimaera came with a 6 CD player in the boot.Pioneer Face Off, but with NO instruction manual.Worked very well but I wished that I could play a cassette at times.
The other day I removed the face and for the first time noticed a covered end of cassette shape slot in the metal panel which is normally covered by the face.
I guess you can work out the rest.
Perhaps you have a cassette player too without knowing it.

I'm sure there are people as daft as you Tim, but not so daft that they'd broadcast the fact on an internet forum!

Sorry Tim, but that made me chuckle.

there might be an eject button that doesnt result in the face actually popping off but sliding down/out of the way. when it's in this state if you put a cassette in you should be able to play it. then again if it breaks or damages your cassette don't blame me

If its the same/simular to mine then the eject button is on the back of the face plate. Double tap FF or RW for skipping tracks.

Is it anything like this? There's downloadable manuals on this site...

I have a Pioneer unit with the same arrangement. When you press the 'face off' button, the face drops down to reveal the cassette slot. You'll probably also see the cassette eject button next to the slot.

PDV6 is also correct in that you can download manuals from Pioneer's site, although if you print it on A4 it's a bit bulky to go in the car!
