400bhp and sub 1000kgs not quite enough....

Sub 1000kg - Not a Tuscan then - let alone a blown one - prediction for it holding together - oooh a day!

Jon, on a standard tuscan yup wont last long.

But this ones getting an engine overhaul to, maincaps rods etc...

Craft have got an exceptional track record, whence why they're ATI/Prochargers only UK and Europe dealers for their gear, its a reputation thing.

I hope Graham brings her out to trackdays to play with us in the near future!!!

Bloody 'ell....just checked that link out n realised its a 2 year old thread....DOHH
I was searchin for similar info myself and was just tryin to help the chap out...

Anyway....For those interested I decided to get the bottom end done aswell as the head mods coz I want a properly sorted S6 and after attending the AM/AC talk, Middle Walop, I realised that the issue reaches inside a lil further than just the top end of this engine.

I had read Ash's post on the supercharging and gave it a little thought. When I contacted Dave to see how things were going we had a little chat about supercharging. Dave later came back to me with good info and figures so I thought why the hell not? I am aware of the limitations for road use and will have to learn to be exceptionally respectable of the power hike. Good thing is that the Tusc throttle travel is not on/off, its fairly long travel and offers good control plus the charger is rpm related and without lag; unlike a turbo. Im not a complete virgin to such performance my current bike is a 750 frame with a 1070cc motor that used to have a 2 stage nitrous kit....until it melted big style...short wheel base and NOS demands great respect. Reminds me must get that engine sorted some day....
Track days in order to safely learn its/mine capabilities will most certainly be in the diary. Problem will be a time thing my current contract has me away 9 months of the year at the moment, trying to negotiate now for some of next summer at home.

Well done YZF,
It seems that Craft have taken the challenge. Not only are they offering to sort S6's they can offer this sort of upgrade for TVR owners.
Happy days indeed, with their relatioship with Al melling the engines comeing back from Craft should be everything anyone owning a S6 should of had in the first place.
YZF, you made a good choice taking the strengthing to the bottom end, you got to let us know how it goes.
Nick.
